WAZZUP?

Yesterday Redi and I were in the veteran class in Jyväskylä international dog show for the first time. As a birthday gift for his owner Redi was BOB-veteran judged by Harto Stockmari. As expected he wasn't succesful in the big ring but it was great to run there. Esa was with me in the dog show the whole day and he was a real champ. He was chatting lively with a dachshund owner in the audience when Redi and I came to pick him up from there. :-D Together we watched Hulivilin breeder's group be placed Best in Show third. Great!

Summer's gone, but the fall isn't much different when it comes to weather, only the leaves in the trees are of a different color.
In August I attended a course for people organizing the Swedish MH-description (sort of a mental test). We had people from different parts of the country and it was nice to get to know better for example toller people from the Oulu area. The weekend was interesting and hilarious, as you might imagine when about a dozen adults learn how to walk like a ghost. It was especially fun to imagine how our co-workers would react if we told them what we had done during the weekend. ;-)
In the beginning of September we went to the Toller Show (Speciality) even thouhg Redi is at the moment shedding. Well, the judge wasn't too impressed with the in-between look and the result (quite rightly so) was a Good. I'm not complaining. The most important thing of the whole Show was to meet other toller people and to see the record-breaking 170 tollers.
I'm frustrated with my computer that is sooooo sloooow, so I haven't updated much of anything. Here are some photos anyway. Nikke and I had our 12-year wedding anniversary in August, so the whole family went Toller Show weren't good, but here are some picutres of Esa and Redi.

It's already July! I've been working and I don't seem to have time for anything.
We attended the Toller Camp at the beginning of June. This time I drove there blissfully ignorant of much of anything (well, not any specific schedules or anything). What a feeling! ;-) I was in the obedience group with Redi and I took some photos of mainly people and dogs in our group. Once again the weather was great so it was nice to think back to the weekend on the next rainy Monday.
Last weekend I drove to my parents' in Järvenpää and went to an all breeds dog show there. The judge was supposed to be Riitta Liisa Lehtonen whose critique Redi doesn't have yet, but there was a change of judge, so we got one from the Irish Dominic Harris. He felt the dogs' whole structure with his hands and dictated rather a short critique. He liked Redi well enough to give him an Excellent and ended up placing him Best Dog 2nd after Jaska (Decoymans Piper Deep Secret). Merja Myllymaa also took a couple of photos.
We've also been fooling around in our dog agility trainings. I'll try to arrange my siseter-in-law to come and see us some day and take some photos with her high-tec digital camera.

The weather has been great in the central Finland. Spring is really here. The snow has started to melt, and it smells like spring. On Easter I took some photos again. We haven't done anything special now, that our agility trainings are on weekends and we spend our weekends normally on the countryside. In May we'll start to train in Killeri which is pretty near here.

I was going to put our agility training videos on the Internet last weekend but... The FireWire cable had gone missing. Today I went to the center to get a new one, but when a humanist woman goes to a computer show you never know what happens. So, I'll try again tomorrow and take the digital video camera with me so that I'm sure to get the right kind of cable.

I added some health information on Redi and Vicks' offspring: Hani's hips were A/A and eyes checked ok, Rooa's hips were A/B, elbows 0/0 and her eyes checked ok, too. Nice!

Our family has returned home and we're recouperating from the flu that we caught towards the end of the vacation. We spent Christmas at my parents' in Järvepää, after that drove to see my father-in-law in Merikarvia and welcomed new year in Viitasaari where we stayed 'till Epiphany. We had a lot of joy last year but also such a big sorrow that I don't care to summarize the whole year. I have no goals for this year either. We'll see what it brings us or if it brings us anything special.
