Contents

 

Introduction to organic chemistry: functional groups, nomenclature of organic compounds, drawing structural formulas, hydrocarbons, alicyclic and cyclic alkanes, alkenes and alkynes, halogenoalkanes, ethers, alcohols, amines, aromatic compounds and carbonyl compounds, classes of isomers, stereochemistry, reaction mechanisms (SN1, SN2, E1, E2), reduction and oxidation reactions.

Prerequisites

 

Student should have good knowledge in basic general chemistry

 

 

Completion mode

 

Two exams. Both exams have to be passed. Student should have minimum points in both exam normally half of the maximum points of the exam.
