Education and work
I graduated from Jyväskylän Lyseo upper secondary school in 2007, spent the year 2007–2008 in the army (Air Force Academy) and started my studies at the University of Jyväskylä in 2008. I have mainly studied physics, mathematics, and Latin. I got my Bachelor's degree in 2011 in physics, master's degree in 2012 in theoretical physics and doctors degree in 2014 in mathematics.
I currently work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Jyväskylä.
A more detailed account of my academic career can be found in my CV.
My main research area is currently broken ray tomography, which is a subfield of inverse problems. I have also continued to do research in thermal quantum field theory, which my master's thesis was related to. My research topics are described in more detail on another page.
Many of my hobbies are related to Latin. I have translated numerous songs and poems to and from Latin, and I have taken part in organizing the annual event Athenis Finlandiae dedicated to languages and culture of antiquity.
