Learning diary (recommended way to complete the course)
- Write a learning diary based on the lectures given. No need to include all the given lectures, but say 80% of them.
- If you miss a lecture, some alternative material will be given.
- What to include in the learning diary? A combination of the following approaches:
- ”Recap”: identify the main points of the subject and write a short summary about it (this is like explaining the matter to your classmate).
- ”Problems”: make a list of things you found difficult to understand or things you felt poorly explained.
- ”Criticism”: write down your thoughts (related to the subject matter J) during the lecture, your opinions or even counterarguments/objections (in that case try to justify your statement).
- "perception”: write down your own experience about the subject matter if any.
- ”Deepening”: deepen your knowledge on some part of the subject matter.
- Length: 1-2 pages per lecture. To be returned by the end of March, 2013.
Report
Instead of the learning diary, you can write a detailed report (min. 15 pages) some of the 3GPP's latest activitiets eg. HetNet, UL enhancements. Send your report topic to:
oleksandr.sayenko@jyu.fi and timo.t.hamalainen@jyu.fi before starting to write it. To be returned by the end of March, 2013.
