I am Belgian and lived for a long time in Wilrijk, which is a district of Antwerp. I went to the University of Antwerp, where I got my Bachelor of information systems degree after spending one year as an exchange student at the University of Jyväskylä in Finland. Right after, I started my master studies at that same university in Finland and after graduation continued as a doctoral student. These studies were guided by Professor in Distributed Systems Vagan Terziyan and Professor of Computational Intelligence Optimisation Ferrante Neri. At the Fraunhofer institute I am hosted by Professor Stefan Decker.
I am currently on a partial leave from a postdoc at the University of Jyväskylä and I am a scientific advisor for WE-OPT-IT Oy (former MyOpt Oy).
More details on my activities can be found from my CV.
