JYFL-ACCLAB and the KEK-WNSC utilize similar instrumentation and research methods for studying the ground-state and decay properties of exotic nuclei. In this seminar we will discuss our research aims, instrumentation and how to drive the research field and collaboration between Japan and JYFL-ACCLAB via joint research programs and transfer of knowledge. The seminar research topics covers nuclear astrophysics, novel production mechanisms for exotic nuclei, decay studies and nuclear structure near the limits of existence. Furthermore, the purpose of seminar is to discuss instrumentation such as lasers and mass spectrometers and gas cells and their use in studying exotic nuclei.
The event will be held on 27.10.2023 at FYS2 lecture room at the University of Jyväskylä Department of Physics.
The seminar is public and free of charge, but if possible, please pre-register at
