Cocktails and Mixed Drinks
Cocktails
- After Supper
2 cl apricot brandy
2 cl Cointreau or Triple Sec
2 cl lemon juice
- Shake with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Champagne Cocktail
Angostura
cube of sugar
dry sparkling wine or champagne
- Soak the sugar well with Angostura. Put the cube into a champagne glass
and top up with sparkling wine.
- Copenheering
1 cl gin
3 cl cherry brandy
- Shake with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cherry.
- Daiquiri
4 cl white rum
2 cl lime or lemon juice
1 cl sugar syrup
- Shake with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Ferrari
4 cl white vermouth
2 cl Amaretto di Saronno
- Stir with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Gimlet
3 cl gin
2 cl Rose's Lime Juice Cordial
1 cl lemon juice
- Shake with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Italian Stinger
4 cl brandy
2 cl Galliano
- Shake with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass.
- Manhattan
4 cl bourbon or rye whiskey
2 cl red vermouth
dash of Angostura
- Stir with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish
with a cherry.
- Rob Roy
4 cl Scotch whisky
2 cl red vermouth
dash of Angostura
- Stir with a few cubes of ice, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish
with a cherry.
On the Rocks
- Americano
2 cl Campari
2 cl red vermouth
soda as required
- Pour into an old-fashioned/lowball glass, add a few cubes of ice and soda
to taste. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
- Godfather
3 cl bourbon
1 cl Amaretto di Saronno
- Pour into an old-fashioned/lowball glass and add a few cubes of ice.
Garnish with a slice of orange.
- Old-Fashioned
4 cl bourbon
dash of Angostura
cube of sugar
1 cl soda
- Put the Angostura, sugar and soda into an old-fashioned glass. Let the
Angostura soak well into the sugar, then crush the cube with a spoon. Add
the bourbon and a few cubes of ice. Garnish with a slice of orange, a slice
of lemon, and a cherry. Serve with a spoon.
- Rusty Nail
4 cl Scotch whisky
2 cl Drambuie
- Pour into an old-fashioned/lowball glass and add a few cubes of ice.
Long Drinks
- Apricot Cooler

3 cl lemon juice
1/2 cl grenadine syrup
soda to top up
- Pour into a highball/collins glass, add lots of ice, and top up with soda.
Garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry. Serve with a straw.
- California
1 cl rye whiskey
2 cl apricot brandy
3 cl orange juice
ginger ale to top up
- Pour into a highball/collins glass, add lots of ice, and top up with
ginger ale. Garnish with a slice of orange and a cherry. Serve with a
straw.
- Singapore Gin Sling
4 cl gin
2 cl cherry brandy
2 cl lemon juice
soda to top up
- Pour into a highball/collins glass, add lots of ice, and top up with soda.
Garnish with a slice of orange, a slice of lemon, and a cherry. Serve with a
straw.
- Tom Collins
4 cl gin
2 cl lemon juice
1 cl sugar syrup
soda to top up
- Pour into a collins glass, add lots of ice, and top up with soda. Garnish

- Whiskey Buck
3 cl bourbon or rye whiskey
