Degrees, courses and studies in general are measured in ECTS credits
(opintopiste in Finnish). One year of full-time studies refers to an average
input of 1600 hours of work by the student and amounts to 60 ECTS credits.
A Bachelor's degree is composed of 180 ECTS credits and can be completed
in three years. A Master's degree is 120 ECTS credits and can be obtained
in two years, with the exception of psychology. In psychology the extent
of the Master's degree is 150 ECTS credits.
