PML Frameworks

• Can be used as a basis for analysing process modelling languages

• Different frameworks have different views of PMLs

  • organisational: e.g., management strategies
  • linguistic: e.g., ontology, world view
  • technical: e.g., enactment paradigm, technological support

• Example: Organisational view

  • Orientation in process management
  • Focus of modelling (objectives, constraints, problems)
