1. Identify techniques of the method
Because each method can consist of one or more techniques we first need to identify them
- Most often an ISD method proposes a number of separate techniques with different concepts and supporting notations
- Note: a technique can also include concepts that are shared with other techniques
Some approaches:
- viewpoints (e.g. dynamics, static, data, process, flow….)
- phase (requirements, analysis, system design, detailed design,…)
- task (database structure, inheritance hierarchy, …)
- user (end-user, developer, manager, documentation, reverse-engineering, …)
