Modular method construction
Methods must be specified!
- By applying metamodeling techniques the structure of methods can be specified:
- Concepts and their relationships
- Rules
- Procedural and organizational usage guidelines
- Notation and symbols
- Analysis and checking reports
- Code generation rules
- Document generation rules
- Mapping to the development tools functionalities
- Linkages to other methods and programs, etc
- With metamodels we can produce pre-defined and tested method modules.
- These modules ? often described as component base, or as method fragments ? help to manage knowledge about ISD methods.
