Cloud Software Program


Cloud Software program aims to significantly improve the competitive position of Finnish software intensive industry in global markets. According to the 2009 survey most significant factors of competitiveness are: operational efficiency, user experience, web software, open systems, security engineering and sustainable development. Cloud software ties these factors together as software increasingly moves to the web. Cloud Software program especially aims to pioneer in building new cloud business models, lean software enterprise model and open cloud software infrastructure.

BIC


Project BIC (Building Innovation Capacity) analyzes the current state and ICT-usage of small and medium-sized enterprises in the St. Petersburg area.

OHKA


Project OHKA (Internationalization of software firms) analyzes the data collected in the annual Finnish software business reviews (OSKARI) by Software Business Lab at Helsinki University of Technology. OHKA starts with analysis of the factors impacting target country selection and continues with analysis of the growth and internationalization constraints of Finnish software firms. OHKA is a research co-operation activity of researchers Dr. Arto Ojala and prof. Pasi Tyrväinen from the the University of Jyväskylä and Mikko Rönkkö from the Software Business Lab at Helsinki University of Technology.


Launch Pad


The object of the Launch Pad program was to provide training to start-up phase high-tech entrepreneurs and research groups in the Jyväskylä region with a potential business idea. Launch Pad program was organized together with Sharon C. Ballard, University of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylä Polytechnic, and Jyväskylä Innovation.
